Funny McKay

I have so many things that I want to post about, but for now I'll have to talk about McKay. Especially after tonight's conversation. Today was one of those "no nap" days and he fell asleep on the couch at 5:00. GREAT! I hate that. Anyway, he woke up a little after six and so he is still awake... at 10:00. I went to go tell him to get back in bed and he wanted me to sleep with him. (For your information, this is a frequent request) So here's how the conversation went:
Me: McKay, you are a big boy. You need to sleep on your own.

McKay: No, I not big. Wook, I'm stiw wittow.

Me: If you are still little, then maybe we need to take away all your big boy things. You can sleep in a baby crib like Benson, and we'll take all your big boy toys away too.

McKay: (shrugging his shoulders) You can put them in a basket if you want.

PERFECT! My three year old has just outsmarted me, again. So, I just gave him a love and a kiss and told him he needed to go to bed. Then I gave him one big squeeze. He looked at me and said, "Mom, don't squish out my eggs." (He had eggs for dinner)

Second story: this will explain the pictures. If anyone remembers a previous post called, "Men in tights" McKay has this weird fascination with nylons and tights. I guess because it makes your legs look different, but not too different. Because of a previous conversation with my Mom, he keeps calling them church socks. He took some from her house and one day put them on without my knowledge. When friends came over, they noticed before me. Embarrassing? Yeah. So, I decided to buy him some church socks of his own. (By church socks, I mean literally, dress socks for boys) So these are the before and after pictures.

Don't you hate it when you make an unrealistic threat in order to prove a point (like threatening to take all their toys away) and they totally call your bluff! It's like, "Where do you go from there?"

He is such a cute kid! I just had to laugh when I walked in and he had knee highs on. It will be fun to show that on his wedding video. He is a sweet boy and smart too!

That is such a cute little story. It made me laugh. What a fun personality he must have. Isn't it funny how smart they can be at such a young age. hehe!

He was into nylons when I was still there. Let's hope those dress socks cure the nylon fetish! :-) He is so cute

Those are such cute stories! Noah is just starting giving me comments back that make me laugh or just plain suprise be. One of the fun (and sometimes emberassing) blessings of being a mom!
