I have to be honest. I had every intention of writing a whiny post. I haven't been much of a blogger in the last two months. And, instead of jumping on to write about the cute things my boys have been saying and doing, I jump on the chance to complain. (Oh, by the way, Sha took this picture of my boys and I LOVE IT! Thanks Sha!) Anyway, I started feeling really guilty because while there are things I could really whine about, there are more that I should be thankful for. (That is why I changed my playlist song, because I really have been blessed.) So, I am just going to share a few cute things about my boys:
I was making cookies with Kimball and Leah. All was going relatively well until Kimball turned the Kitchen Aid on the highest speed and cake mix went EVERYWHERE. The kids were good to get down and help clean up. I thought it was so cute that I wanted to take a picture of them with the broom and dust pan. Just as I clicked the picture, Kimball LICKED the dustpan!! I told him it was gross and he said, "No, it's not Mom, it tastes like chocolate."
Benson really loves my mom and dad, his "Mimi and Papa." Well, he misses Grammy and Papa when they go out of town. On one of their outings this summer, he packed around the picture of the two of them in Alaska. He would point at them and then hug the picture. When I tried to get it away so he wouldn't break the frame, he ran away from me. So... I had to get a picture of him running away.
Kimball loved watching Michael Phelps in the Olympics. He also loves to swim at my mom's house. One day, he had it all figured out and he was going to race McKay in the Olympics. He was Michael Phelps, and McKay was Jason Lezak. At the end of the race he was cheering and saying, "I did it, I did it!" So I pretended to be an reporter and asked, "Michael Phelps, how does it feel to win another gold medal?" My five-year-old (in true character) said, "I had a good day! It was a great swim!"
McKay is still obsessed with nylons! What in the world?? He took more out of my mom's drawer when no one was looking and made sure to wear long pants so his dad wouldn't see that he had them on when he went to bed. I tried to give him some tall socks to put on, but they didn't cover his whole leg so they weren't good enough. Oh great! Does anyone have any suggestions?
While eating a frosty at Wendy's, Kimball gagged himself with the spoon. My mom and I told him not to do it and then asked why he did. He got a really searious look on his face and said, "I just wanted to feel my spirit."
McKay loves Bishop Graham's dog Dutchess. Sometimes, when we go to the office, she is there. One day she was barking to play with the boys. McKay said, "Mom, do you hear that? Dutchess is BARFING at us!"
I walked in on Kimball using the bathroom. He was disgusted and said he needed his privacy. Then he let out a little toot. He said, "See Mom, did you hear that? That was gas. It was saying, 'Oh, don't get up bum, there is more coming out!"
My boys definately keep our house going at 90-miles, but they are funny as can be. I have been blessed, and I really couldn't ask for more.

Your boys *are* so wonderful and sweet and precocious! It makes me sad that we don't get our kids together more often.
I'm glad you are writing the "little" stories down...those are the ones the kids will love to hear the most when they are older.
Your boys are so funny! Kenna just adores them. Hope I see you sometime this week.
Your boys crack me up! I look forward to the day when mine do the same! I miss seeing you, how sad that we live miles away from one another yet we see each other maybe every few months. Lets get together!
Your kids are hilarious. You are seriously such a good mom. I wish I got to see you more often. I still need your email address so I can add you to my blog. Email me at brianam17@yahoo.com. Talk to you soon.
SO funny! Thanks for sharing some good things, although it would be ok to whine. Because sometimes that's what you need to do is say the words and get it off your chest, so you can gear up for another day.
YAY! For the new post! Keep them coming! Please!
LOL!! That is too funny! I can't believe Mckay eats the grasshoppers.... Boys crack me up, they are so full of energy, but no matter how tired you are, you know you would never trade them. We miss seeing you guys, we will have to get together sometime.
I love the way you write your adorable 'boy stories'. They're so cute. Sorry no advice about the nylons...I don't know what I would do-just wait til he grows out of it. Bishop Graham? Josh Graham is the bishop now? When did that happen?
Hehe...your boys are SO funny. I love it. My kids say stuff like that all the time, and I am so so glad I have my blog to keep record of it all. Your little guys will look back and So love reading all those cute things they said.!
