Poor Benson. I know that he looks fine in the picture, but this was about an hour after another dose of Motrin. Over the weekend, at Matt and Tamara's wedding, I thought he didn't act right and that he seemed like he was getting a fever. I was right. Over the next couple of days he got worse. This was the day after Christmas. He has ANOTHER ear infection. This is the third since the end of November. He will probably need tubes. I feel so bad for the little guy. He gets miserable at night when medicine wears off. I just hope that things will get better for him.

Three in a row

Wedding Bliss
Happy Birthday to McKay! I can't believe he is already three! How does time go by so quickly? At first he wanted a Super Why birthday and then Thomas and then Pooh. I did my best to make a Pooh Bear cake and must have done ok, because he knew what it was. My dad has more pictures from his party on his camera, and so I'll try to remember to post more later. The funny thing was that my mom and I both gave him the same jet. Apparantly my grandma had also gotten the same jet for Kimball for Christmas, but must have returned it after the birthday party. We seem to be good at getting the same gifts in our family (Neil Maxwell book, bread makers, Deal-or-No-Deal game, etc.)Anyway, Happy Birthday to my sweet McKay!
Men in tights?
Um, yeah, it's what it looks like. McKay is wearing knee-highs. My sister came over to have dinner with us one Sunday afternoon and had on these white knee-highs. McKay is always fascinated with my nylons because he can tell there is something different but is not sure what. He insisted on putting on the "church socks" and wore them for hours. (Much to his dad's disapproval, I must add) Emily and I got a great laugh out of it.
A Very Merry Christmas
Christmas was a lot of fun. Our boys make it so exciting. Dressed in their Polar Express pjs, they were so excited for Christmas. We had a special visitor who came to make sure the boys were still being good and to let them know he'd be back if they went to sleep. Kimball and McKay were so excited to see Santa. Kimball was asking about the elves and the "list" while McKay was giving Santa toys and presents and bells. Benson was excited to watch his brothers but wasn't so sure about sitting on Santa's lap himself. This is such a wonderful time of year, I am thankful to have my three sweet little boys who turn the season into magic.

Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can
Who needs hired help? I've got Benson.
I know I am always posting about Kimball and McKay. I guess because a lot of our activities take place while Benson is napping, but make no mistake, Benson will not be outdone. He is my little shadow and if he can't crawl fast enough to keep up, he knows just how to get me to pick him up (I know, I know, I am being manipulated by a 10-month-old). Anyway, I was grudgingly doing laundry and the little man decided to help. As fast as I could get it in, he was taking it out. He was quite pleased with himself too.
At first I was getting a little bit annoyed because I was focused on getting it done, but then I realized how cute it was and thought I better snap a few pictures. Notice how full the load is? Yeah, that's because I hope to get it done as fast as possible. When the washer spins and the whole house shakes, I know I've overdone it. Whoopsy!
Deck the halls

We had so much fun decorating for Christmas. The last several years I have just decorated with Josh when the boys are in bed, but I decided I should let them have part in the fun. So, Collin, Kimball and McKay were so excited to decorate the tree that they were going faster than I could instruct. Basically, 90% of the ornaments ended up on three of the bottom branches. They were so weighted down that everytime they would add one, one or two would fall off. The picture is of the one of the three branches after a handful had fallen off and before they all got hung back on (to the same branch).
Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul...

I know I am totally slow at getting posts up on time, but yeah, I have to use my phone to take pictures and then I have to get a CD made to post them. Anyway, with all the snow a week ago, the boys were LOVING it. We decided to go outside and build a snowman. The whole time Kimball was singing "Frosty the Snowman." McKay got too cold and he wanted to go inside, but Kimball was in it for the long haul. Even when I suggested finishing after lunch, Kimball was not about to leave the snowman without a face.

SOS!!
Okay! What is up with everyone and their cute blogs? Knowing full well that I am incompetent, I tried anyway to "holly" mine up for Christmas. I downloaded blogwear from Shabby-somethin'-or-other and I sure didn't know what to do with it after that. Yes, I am embarrassed. Will someone please help me figure out how to make it cute???
