And we break for a commercial (ok, I am embarrassed)

Okay, I have a couple of things that some people have asked me to order for Pampered Chef. It is so much easier if I can submit several orders to make it a party instead of a couple of single orders. Does anybody want anything from Pampered Chef? Stones are on special this month, by the way. I will even give the free stuff from the party to whoever orders the most. Any takers?

What am I doing?

I am sure (well, at least I hope I am not alone) that every mother can relate to the overwhelming responsibility of parenthood. I have asked myself so many times, "What am I doing?" I have these three precious boys to take care of, and I just wish that they came with their own customized instruction manuals. Case in point: "Benson Mac User Manual" For Illness, see page 13... PAGE 13: Malfunction due to illness: In case of extreme and frequent ear infections, take child to outpatient surgery for ear implants-OR-take child to chiropractor 3-4 times until problem resolves. THEN, if ear infections persist after proper placement of tubes, wait patiently for another antibiotic to run its course-OR-quickly make arrangements to take the child to another qualified specialist to seek further instruction-OR-consult chiropractor. WHAT DO I DO? The poor baby just got tubes last THURSDAY and on SATURDAY night had a fever of 101. Sunday night, controlled it with Motrin. Monday night 104!!! I feel so bad for him. I wish I could do more to make him feel better. I really want to try the chiropractor, but I am honestly scared. I don't dare go to the chiropractor myself, I am scared to take my baby. I need someone to just help me get past that fear. It is so sad when he is in so much pain and he just snuggles his little head on my shoulder. Poor baby. Despite being super sick, he can still give me a good smile when he sees the camera.

Another great cabin weekend

We spent last weekend at LC Ranch in Altamont with my parents and brother and sister. It was great. It was a little boys' paradise. Lots of places to play, hide and climb! This was my brother's Christmas present to all of us and we had so much fun. We ate steak and king crab (DELICIOUS!), yummy garlic potatoes (way to go Mom!), and we snacked and snacked and snacked. We played a fun new game called, Ticket to Ride, and visited and laughed together as a family. It is so nice to be able to get away and be able to have such a good time. So, thanks to Will and to Mom and Dad for such an EXCELLENT weekend. The boys are still talking about it.

I DID IT!

Thanks to my personal blog guru, Stephanie (you are AWESOME!) and to my friend and workout partner, Sha... I think I finally got my blog looking the way I want it. It was way fun, and so I might spend time changing it now and then. But, I am thinking I like it. The best website for help is http://sjhblogdesigns.blogspot.com. Step by step directions make it simple, even for someone as incompetent as myself!

McKay's "real" birthday

We had a party for McKay early in December, but his birthday is actually on the 27th of December. So, we had to celebrate on his actual birthday too. This was his cake and candles on the "real" birthday. Poor Kimball had a hard time understanding that it had been his party and that it was now his actual birthday. He was a good sport though.

New Years Get-Away

For New Years, we went to Red Canyon Lodge and stayed for two nights. It was great because there was tons of snow and someone had built a little snow fort. Kimball and McKay loved staying at the cabin as much as we did. We played games, drank hot chocolate, watched movies, ate a lot of junk food, got warm by the fire (actually more like kept the kids out of the fire), and just enjoyed laughing and spending time together as a family. This is my first slide show attempt, so hopefully it turns out.

STRIKE

Grammy and Papa took us bowling and then to Pizza Hut. We had so much fun in our "friendly" competition and especially watching the boys get so excited. They LOVED it. McKay was not very good at waiting for his turn, and even though we should have made him wait, we all gave in and let him bowl our turns every once in a while.
